Desert Rain Music Video MP4 File

Details

The rain that comes to the desert may not be the most frequent, however when it comes to relevance there is none greater. The sand of the desert long having forgotten moisture and its invigorating qualities has grown stout, strong, independent. Of course memory exists of moisture and nourishment. It is this memory that brings the rains when they come, not by the conscious will of the sand by by the urgings of the past, when they existed. Longing even when forgotten by the participants is never forgotten by time nor existence itself.

My music is composed of the improvised performances of Native Flutes, a Flamenco Guitar, Tabla Drums, an acoustic guitar, a Talking Drum, Djembe, a Chromonica, a Pan Drum, a Rain Stick and a Lyre.

My influences are also varied, Flamenco, Classical, Jazz, African Music, Indian Music, Sufi Music, Rock and probably even this doesn't completely cover it.

It is experimental music, be forewarned it will surprise you, of course that being taken into regard the rhythms and harmonies are quite pleasing (once you get used to them). Personally I can't stop listening to them. It's rhythms are complex and the harmonies are alluring. I would classify the style as World Music.

I guess the main emphasis of my intention is to explore the mystical through sound, the emotional states that rise when we are under the influence of the different vibrational waves through sound. The animations are to emphasize this visually. Of course all the so called side effects of this dance between the vibrational sound and our awareness are many, I'll name a few: confidence; health; awareness; wellbeing; vigor; enthusiasm; relativity and so on...

Really this music video is a product of many years of listening to music, many years of meditation and many years of mindfulness. The music video seems designed to empty out your mind and hold your attention at this blissfully empty state, all you have to do is stare into the screen listen and concentrate on where your awareness goes. Which image, which instrument's vibration draws your attention until you become totally immersed in sight and sound.
